Good Afternoon, Everyone! I took this course in 2002, passed on my first try, and held my CPC for 10 years. I took a hiatus from billing and coding to do other things, then returned in 2020; so up to 2025, it's been 10 years not directly working on coding, but billing only for 5 years. I am considering taking a course to brush up on so I can sit for the exam again. I am thinking just the BLITZ course, but then I second-guess and think I need the entire course since it's been so long. Any advice?

It's fantastic to hear you passed your CPC on the first try back in 2002 and held it for a decade! That solid foundation will definitely be beneficial as you consider returning to coding. Given the 10-year gap from direct coding, the coding guidelines, CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS code sets have undergone significant updates since 2015. I would recommend trying a practice exam to gauge your current knowledge level & see where you're at, that will help you decide if you should go with the BLITZ course or the Full Course.
