Question on using the 2025 books for 2026. I'm planning on taking the exam with AAPC early in the year, somewhere between January and March. Any answers would be appreciated

You are allowed to use older manuals by one year but we don't recommend it. It will affect your confidence because you will wonder as you're taking the exam if it has a new code in it. You could probably get away with an older HCPCS but I would use current year ICD and CPT.
