Pt comes in hpi postop complication. Pt presents to the ED for vaginal bleeding. Pt is 4 days postpartum with a spontaneous vaginal delivery. With 1st degree left labial laceration repair done after delivery. Pt showering yesterday and thinks she pulled a stitch out and is having some bleeding which since subsided .
I currently have coded O99.73 L76.22

PE
After examine the stitches are all intact. Trace vaginal bleeding.

Final pain related to vaginal delivery.

I coded O75.89 phx of left lab laceration z87.2
I really code use some guidance on how I coded this. 4 days postpartum I would say the trace bleeding is. Normal. Thank you

This is where I would go with the complication because you do no have another code for what is happening. The bleeding is normal as you stated. They checked to see if the sutures where stable and they are.
