Pt had kidney transplant 4 years ago. Thought he had a zit and squeezes it and pulls sutures out. Final is retained sutures. This is a complication from surgery but what do I code it to ? The sutures should have been removed .

Index under suture inadvertently left in operation wound see foreign body, accidentally left during a procedure
directs you to T81.509 but nothing there fit exactly so on to Tabular of that section led me to:
T81.590
