Good day,
The doctor information provided: Galen Malformation.
Peri-operative info: Cerebral digital subtraction angiogram right side coil of Galen malformation. 2 x coils placed endovascularly via the left internal carotid. Flow decreased in those feeder vessels but malformation still large and receiving flow via posterior circulation.
Perfusion to rest of left hemisphere now appears better. Will need further procedures in due course.
We considered:
61624 Transcatheter permanent occlusion or embolization (e.g., for tumor destruction, to achieve hemostasis, to occlude a vascular malformation), percutaneous, any method; central nervous system (intracranial, spinal cord)
Does Stent include Coils ?
Regards
