Resolved Encounter for drug monitoring

Status
Not open for further replies.
I have a question in regards to a Outpatient encounter for drug monitoring. Patient has DM type 2. Doctor notes on final dx that patient is on insulin Z79.4, Glimepride Z79.84, and Trulicity Z79.899. With new coding guidelines, we can code both Z79.4 and Z79.84 now. My question is there a rationale that ALL three can be coded together that I can reference to?

I have not been able to find any resources that say you can't code all LTD together or otherwise but you would think you would need to code all LTD.
