Hello! Great job looking into options to give your best shot at passing the exam the first try. I absolutely recommend the practice exams through the AAPC. They are updated and actually, a tad ahead of the actual exam. I mean that in the sense they started adding fill-in-the-blank questions on the practice exams (some of them) which, as far as I know and as far as December, the real exam does not include (yet). I went through the 3 that came with my package multiple times, and I ended up buying the second pack with another 3 as well. I truly felt they helped me pass. Almost to where the real exam felt a tad easier (or I was more prepared). Not that the exam is easy, absolutely practice as much as possible. The other valuable thing about these specific practice exams is that it is on the same platform, same setup as the real exam. They are also timed the same. It is truly a mock exam. The more you do them, the better you get and more comfortable you are with the process. I took the exam and saved all the questions I missed, printed them, took notes on them and did them all 3x I think. I also used a tutor for 2 hours and had all of the information organized to save time I was paying for and say "Ok, I keep getting these ones wrong, what can I do for these?" That was so helpful for me. We all learn differently and of course I can only speak from experience. I would absolutely try them or get them and do them multiple times, if possible and if needed. They are absolutely updated and closely mimic the actual exam. I wish you all the best on your exam!
