Hi all
I am very confused on how to code shoulder tendinits. how would I know to code enethopathy vs shoulder lesion? For example if patient has tendinitis of supari tas(sp) tendon(rotator cuff muscle) so the code book goes tendinitis to enthesopathy shoulder or shoulder region are my options. how do I know when to code shoulder or shoulder region i can't find any documentation for this
thanks

ICD-10 index tendinitis- shoulder leads you to M75.30tendinitis.jpeg
Enthesopathy is an umbrella term for conditions that affect these connection points. Enthesitis is when they get inflamed and become painful because of injury, overuse, or disease. Enthesitis is common in some forms of arthritis, including psoriatic arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis. If it is not documented it is just tendinitis, not enthesopathy or a lesion.
