I have encountered below scenario in Chart:

Any condition which ICD-10-CM permits to be coded as “in remission” may be coded as such without MEAT and will be considered a Status Code (based on indexing).based on the concept please answer me the following statements.

Question No :1

Past medical history: Alcoholism
Surgical History : No alcohol use

What would be the ICD10 code to be assigned.?? can i go with Alcoholism in Remission??

Question No :2

Problem list under PMH: Alcoholism
Surgical History : No alcohol use

What would be the ICD10 code to be assigned.?? can i go with Alcoholism in Remission?? since itis status so we can code directly right?
