Passed the CPC...Now What?

I passed the CPC exam thanks to your Blitz and BHAT techniques (thanks!) but I'm having trouble finding a job I think due to a lack of background in the healthcare field. Is there anything I can do to "sell" myself to these companies that are hiring or should I simply be "cold calling" companies that are hiring entry-level positions? I've applied to well over 15 companies (which is fine) but I was wondering if I can get tips from what you did to get your first job! Thanks in advance!
 
Perhaps look into an "internship opportunity" locally or online. Also, the AAPC offers "Practicode" to gain experience coding case studies.
