There is a new code for 2022! F32.A – Depression,
unspecified **Does not Risk Adjust
Depression codes that risk adjust must include:
Episode
 Single (F32.XX)
 Recurrent (F33.XX)
Activity
 Not in remission
 Partial remission (F32.4 or F33.41)
 Full remission (F32.5 of F33.42)
Severity (if not in remission)
 Mild (F32.0 or F33.0)
 Moderate (F32.1 or F33.1)
 Severe
o With psychotic features (F32.3 or F33.3)
o Without psychotic features (F32.2 or
F33.2)
