I have been using XS modifier when multiple techniques are used to remove polyps is this wrong? Should I be using XU instead we have not been having any denials but should I stop using XS?

From CMS.gov:
"Modifiers 59 or –XS are used appropriately for different anatomic sites during the same encounter only when procedures which are not ordinarily performed or encountered on the same day are performed on different organs, or different anatomic regions, or in limited situations on different, non-contiguous lesions in different anatomic regions of the same organ." Also: "From an NCCI perspective, the definition of different anatomic sites includes different organs or, in certain instances, different lesions in the same organ."
I believe as you cannot indicate an anatomical modifier (F1 or LT) then you are using the correct form of the modifier.
