in page 45 in the guideline " when critical care services are provided to neonate or pediatric patients less than 6 years of age at two separate institutions by an individual from a different group on the same date of service; the individual from the referring institution should report their critical care service with the time based critical care codes (99291; 99292) and the .........."

my question is; why do we have to use codes from (99291; 99292)? is not these codes are for adult; and the codes (99468-99476) are for ped and neonates?

i am confused
