We're pleased to announce upcoming changes that will ensure AAPC certification exams continue to be a world-class assessment for individuals and organizations seeking gold-standard validation.
Effective January 2022, all AAPC exams will be four (4) hours with questions excluding the CPPM@ and CPB@ exams, also set to four (4) hours but with 135 questions. The online CPC@ exam will remain a 2 part exam—two (2) hours will be given to answer 50 questions in each session.
This decision reflects our efforts to (continuously improve our testing methodology. After years of careful planning, hundreds of beta testers, many months of analysis and evaluation by our AAPC Exam Committee, and comprehensive audits by an independent third-party psychometric firm, an optimal number of questions and time has been determined to validate proficiency.
This change will be effective January 1, 2022.
